Recently, my daughter and I had the opportunity to be a part of a local talent showcase for our theater group.  Since it is almost the one-year anniversary of her surgery, I thought it would be nice to pick a song that exemplified all she has been through this past year (and the years before it), while dealing with her Scoliosis.  The Director and Producer of the talent showcase also wanted to highlight her  situation, and I jumped at the chance to spread some awareness and pay tribute to my daughter.  And, what better song than David Guetta’s “Titanium”?  The words are great for many situations, but, in her case, Titanium rods are now a permanent part of her (literally), so I appreciate the literal interpretation of the song as well.  You can see the performance here:

Tina and C sing “Titanium”

“You shoot me down, but I won’t fall, I am Titanium…Stone hard, as bulletproof glass.”

To all your girls and guys dealing with this “condition”, just hang in there and be strong – you got this!
